How to Balance Your Girlfriend and Friends
It is good to fall in love, but not to forget your friends. Your girlfriend may assume that you will spend the weekend with her, but you get a call from your friends asking you to hang out. You have to balance both, so what you need is some planning. Here are some things you can do to help balance your time:
- Plan Ahead:
Plan ahead of time what you are going to do and who you will be with during those activities. Notice how much time you are spending with each of them and whether they are happy with it – this will help you in the future.
- Party Together:
Take your girlfriend with you sometimes. This will help her to bond with your friends and ultimately feel more secure when you hang out with them without her, making your relationship stronger and allowing her to enter your personal space.
- Consider The Occasion:
If it is New Year’s Eve, make plans with your girlfriend. If it is a baseball game, consider going with your friends or your friends and your girlfriend.
- Stay Present:
You can be with your girlfriend the whole time, but your mind may wander to what your friends are doing. Try to avoid this at all costs. No matter how much time you are spending together, make it worthwhile.
Keep these tips in mind to balance your time between girlfriend and friends.
