Blind Date Tips for Men
It’s normal to get nervous and anxious before a blind date. Many questions are going through your mind when you are going on a blind date: What if she is not good looking? What if you have nothing in common? How you can keep her interested?
Although you cannot actually control certain things since you know nothing about your date, you can prepare a few things to make your blind date as smooth as possible.
Dress to Impress:
Whether you are meeting at a restaurant or a picnic at a local park, don’t forget to wear nice clothes and look your best. Creating a good first impression on your date is very important. Your physical appearance is the best way to create a good first impression. Also, avoid showing up in a full suit to meet her at a local coffee shop, unless you came straight from work. This could make her feel like you are trying too hard, and it could turn her off.
Choose a Public Place:
You need to be careful when choosing the place for a blind date. A blind date is no different from meeting a stranger, so be sure to choose a public place. It can help you easily escape from an awkward moment or situation. A restaurant, a coffee shop, or a mall that you frequently hang out at can be some perfect locations for a blind date.
Be on Your Best Behavior:
Make sure you practice good manners, and be on your best behavior when you meet your blind date. Use proper table manners, don’t talk when your mouth is full, and listen to what she has to say. Be friendly even if she may not be your type, but not so friendly that you lead her on. Behave like a gentleman.
Last but not least, be honest if you want to pursue something more or if you want to just be friends, or go your separate ways. Be truthful and respect her opinion. Don’t try to act like someone you think she will like; be yourself, and you will find the right person for you.
